A&D Transport was established in 1990 by Allan and Donna as a general haulage company. The business was based in St.Helens and the fleet consisted of only one truck (a Seddon Atkinson Day Cab).

The business moved into the recycling industry in 2003 with the purchase of our first Legras Walking Floor trailer, which is specialised for self-loading and off-loading. Shortly after, our headquarters moved from St.Helens to Widnes, where it remains today.

A&D Transport has now branched out into the bulk industry with the purchase of product specific equipment.  We work from numerous press rooms throughout the UK, delivering newsprint to one of the leading paper mills.

The business has developed from having one truck in 1990, to a fleet of over 60 vehicles, almost 100 trailers, and employs over 70 members of staff today. We have continued to grow and are currently one of the leading walking floor operators in the UK.
